too much time in the kitchen

i have been in a baking mood lately. i made banana bread and brownies in the last hour! my in-laws bought me a kitchen aid and i loveeee using it. although everything i make goes to waste because there is no way brad and i can eat all the food i make. my mom always cooked for six and as i follow her meal portions i find myself with way too much food for two people. which makes sense... anyway. tonight is brad's "halo night" which consists of boys coming over and playing various xbox games. halo night happens to be a good thing tonight because all the brownies are gone! haha, i always feel a sense of accomplishment when the food i make is eaten.

also i loveee butt rolls. if you have never had these then you are missing out.

recent happenings

i dont even know where to start. i have been sooo busy lately...

I passed my two x-ray exams and now have my x-ray certification! Christmas was awesome. Brad and i celebrated our first Christmas. we bought a little four foot tree and enjoyed buying presents for each other. i bought him tons of movies, shirts, candy and workout stuff. he bought me a robe, lotions, candy, car mats... and an air freshener. haha. we spent the day with his my family and with his. his parents gave me a kitchenaid mixer and gave brad tons of camping gear.

my sister and her babies came down for Christmas and were able to be here for two weeks! it was great spending time with our little nieces.

we celebrated our ONE YEAR anniversary! the year came and went soooo fast! we defrosted the top of our wedding cake and attempted to eat it. it was soggy and freezer burned. hah

last weekend brad's sister got married. we were at the sealing and it reminded me of our own... it was great spending time with brad's family and we are so happy for annamarie and jeff!

If

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

september

life is going really well. we have been so happy. andd i am truly grateful for every single little blessing in my life. often i find myself focusing on the negative; bills, constantly running out of time, bills, money, bills, always being tired and did i say bills? haha. but really, life gets so much brighter when i stop and acknowledge the little things.
