Dear Little Babe,
It was a Monday in January when I found out you were coming. I was speechless as I peered down at that little plus sign. My heart was racing and i felt as if i couldn't breathe. what would i tell Brad (or better know as your Father). We weren't planning on having you for a few more years down the road. My only thought was that you must be determined to come now. So my barely able to breathe self went to find Brad and asked him to come look at something. He followed me into the bathroom and just stared. He had no words. A few minutes later I threw on my running shoes and we went for a run. I need to clear my head and process this big development. While we were gone your Father called his whole family! I took that as a sign of excitement coming from him, you see he's not all that great when it comes to the mushy stuff.
A couple weeks later we saw you. You looked like a little bean, you were so tiny. Your heart beat was thumping so loudly, 141 beats per minute! I think it was then that I actually comprehended you were coming and the excitement followed soon after.
I have been so extremely tired the last month. I have no energy to do anything, especially run :( Thankfully I have not been sick or nauseous. I'm hungry all the time, my rumbling stomach can be heard by every patient I am assisting on at work. I've been craving Cheetos and hamburgers, GREAT. Except not. Can you start craving healthier food? It's a lot better for you even though it might not taste as good! Also, You already have a stockpile of baby blankets growing at home, from your many admirer's!
So let's make a deal, little bean. Let's try to have a safe and healthy journey here. You grow big and strong and I'll work on getting everything ready for you. And take your time, let's not rush this.
Love you,
Mom
PS- Sawyer has been laying on my stomach alot, starting back before I knew you were coming. He's become very attached to us. You're going to love him!
