This has been such a crazy week for me. I feel like my emotions have been all over the place, like a roller coaster. sorry husband and pup, I've been major crazy chick. aint it great being a girl!? any who... the weather is starting to change and i love it. Lately I've just wanted to cuddle up with a blanket and read, which i have done on several occasions. My oldest sister and i are starting to train for a 12k next week and i am so very nervous. I love running but I've never done an actual sponsored... running... event type thing. wish me luck!

Here are a few quotes i have been loving on lately. enjoy.

as of late

Watching- Sherlock. thank you emma! this show is amazingly addicting. we watch it on netflix but it originally airs on BBC. We watched the first episode last week and little did we know it was an hour in a half! Our minds were blown. No joke. It's a different twist on the sherlock holmes stories we all know. It takes place in modern day Great Britain and each episode is very skillfully written. just put it in your queue!

Reading- Divergent. Actually i just finished the second book in the series, Insurgent. I stumbled upon the recommendation for this book in a friends post on facebook. I downloaded a sample of it on my kindle and immediately bought the book shortly after. Within the fist day of reading Divergent i was already halfway through! This book is a dystopian novel. These types of books hold a great level of intrigue for me, it's crazy to imagine a world different from what I'm living in and used to. Lets just say when i finished this book i was in a mad depression, which naturally is proof of how great it was.

Listening- Taylor Swift's new album Red. When i first heard the whole album i didn't really have any special feelings towards it, which surprised me. But the more is listened the more i loved! Currently i'm loving "I Knew You Were Trouble", "Red", "The Lucky One", and "All Too Well". Also I've been loving  "Stubborn Love" by The Lumineers, "I Will Wait" by Mumford and Sons, "Runaways" by The Killers, "Gold on the Ceiling"  by The Black Keys, and "Stuck on You" by Meiko.

the lucky one

Life flies by, you know? This blog really hasn't been on my mind AT ALL for the past year. I guess you could say i've been "busy", but what kind of excuse is that? everyone is busy these days. How about some updates...

I'm still working as a dental assistant. and i love it. I'm so lucky to have a job that i don't mind waking up early everyday for. My patients make me smile, laugh, and cry and seriously it's the best part of my day. I meet so many wonderful people and have had some pretty crazy experiences in spite of all the time spent filling teeth, taking xrays, performing root canals, taking impressions, pulling teeth, and dealing with obnoxious insurances.

Husband is going to ASU and working his butt off. Seriously, this guy is crazy. He's taking six classes this semester and i hardly see him. At the end of spring semester he'll be taking his DAT and applying to dental schools. I am so proud of him and all his hard work. By the way, he has straight A's and science GPA of 4.0!!

My Sawyer James is my little long haired dachshund. He's pretty much our baby substitute. He's currently sitting right next to me at the moment, listening to some taylor swift, and sleeping peacefully while i type.

I am so grateful for my life right now. I cant believe this january i will have been married for four years and be completing my 24th year of life. It seems like yesterday i was stuck being 15 waiting for the day i could officially "date" and start driving my parents old blue ford explorer. Now i sit in my own home with my husband and pup and as i look around i cant help but be proud of what i have accomplished in the last eight in a half years. So thank you Mom and Dad for being the best parents you knew how to be and thank you to my Heavenly Father for loving me and guiding me all through out my life.
